    omg, just had this discussion a couple of days ago playing Mario Kart with friends! That frachise seems to have been forgotten. the game was primed for Wii-U release... all kinds of gamepad functions could have been included! The screen could have been used for a rear-view screen and/or display vehicle damage, along with the standard track maps! Definitely a wasted opportunity Nintendo!

    Their is a captain falcon mii costume in mario kart 8, but I do see why people want him as dlc.
