First of all, I'd say hello. If necessary, we'd exchange business cards. Then, I'd ask him if he'd care to join me for dinner, and we'd talk about everyday matters, like, "How are things in your world?" "Oh, we have our share of problems." And so forth. Since he's made of paper, I imagine all his food would just fall onto the floor. Once we'd finished our meal, I'd say "Well then, take care!" and we'd go our separate ways.

Honestly, I think I'd just be freaked out! Although, there are times when I think things would be much easier if there were two of me, so maybe I'd try to take advantage of the opportunity. Then again, she'd probably be thinking the same thing, so maybe I should just try to get her back to her own world as quickly as possible! Some people might have the impression this is a difficult game, but I don't think it's any more or less difficult than the previous games in the series. It's just a little trickier to completely get the hang of it right at the start, since there are more characters to control than usual. If you do find it difficult, don't forget we've included plenty of support options like the Assist feature and Easy Attack Mode, so try to find the play-style that's best for you!

Though Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam is the latest entry in a series, it's not as if the story is actually connected to the previous games. As usual, I had a lot of fun composing for this game! Which isn't to say that there weren't a few bumps along the way! When working on an established series, there is a certain pressure on your shoulders - there's always the fear of hearing fans say "the previous game was better!" - But while I'm actually working on it, I don't think about all that too much. I just put my effort into making sure my work is a great match for this game's overall feel. Now that the BGM is out of my hands and out there in the world for you all to enjoy, I hope you like the results!

Almost all of the pixel animations you can see in this game's overworld are brand new! On the other hand, since the camera angle on the battle screen is the same as the previous title, we ended up reusing quite a few animations there. But there are still plenty of new styles of defense and attacks to enjoy, so I got to create lots of fresh animations for those! Overall, I think this game has the best animations in the series so far, so I hope you enjoy it.

Toadette has a few lines in this game saying things like "I've been out adventuring myself too, you know!" And it's true - she got to experience quite a bit of action in a certain other game. Do you know which one it is...? That's not the only fun little reference we've tucked away in this game, so I hope you'll keep an eye out for these kinds of details. ...Hang on, I've hardly talked in this thing at all!

The four button thing is contradictory. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time had A, B, X, and Y assigned to Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi respectively, and in the end it worked out fine. Also, in Bowser's Inside Story, Bowser used X and Y. Paper Luigi or some other fourth party member should've been playable.

Wow. That was pretty interesting. Okay, so now I get why there hasn't been much new/old characters appearing, as well as the lack of Paper Luigi and simplified story, though a few cameos probably wouldn't hurt. In Partners in Time, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are on Mario and Luigi's backs when the bigger bros are in battles, so it doesn't really count. As for Bowser in BIS, you never controlled him and the bros. in the same battle. Technically speaking, PJ is the first game in the M&L series in which you control all three characters in a battle and have to use them all to dodge enemies' attacks.
