    Oh, it's not their fault. It's either your connection or someone else's connection that causes the disconnects and the loss of rank! It happens all the time, but honestly I think Nintendo needs to fix the bit where we lose our rank because of connection losses! It's really unfair.

    @Sugar The thing is, when I go to my best connection, it still disconnects. I even check on other electronics to see if they're OK. But that could be true. @Olive Most people do complain about this situation, so I'm not the only one. Since the weapons and stage updates are done, I'd even doubt they'd bother to fix this problem xD

    It may be an issue with your Wii U's wifi trying to get to the access point in your home. Try going wired, instead?

    It must be other people's connection, then. If one person's connection is bad, it can cause the entire match to stop. This is usually caused by laggers or people who end up poofing out of the game.
