if you haven't unlocked a still unlocked character will using an amiibo for it? im just curious.

    There's some really odd phrasing on this question, so I'm not entirely sure of what you're asking here, but if I understand correctly, then no, using an amiibo will not unlock the character if they're still locked.

    I suppose it's the same for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions. Using an amiibo of a character you haven't unlocked/bought yet won't unlock it. Like Jasper said, it's not very long to unlock all characters (one every 10 matches). DLCs are another story...
