About the Fire Emblem series

or "Why 6 FE characters?". There's a reason for that. Until Brawl, we -- in Europe and America -- barely knew the Fire Emblem series. FE7, FE: Path of Radiance and FE: Radiant Dawn just came out at the time. We only got Marth and Roy in Melee, and Ike instead of Roy in Brawl. But then, things have changed.     FE: Awakening is kind of the "best-seller" of the series outside of Japan and is the reason why the series' popularity increased so much -- more than any other series by the way. Robin and Lucina (from FE: Awakening) came, Roy returned and finally, Corrin will come in the next few days, representing FE: Fates. My point being: I think that "Another FE rep" excuse is not justified.

    It's as simple as this: Fire Emblem CONSTANTLY has a new game to be excited about. They make more games more frequently than most of the other franchises here. They're right behind Mario, Pokémon, and Zelda in that regard.

    While I find it weird that Fire Emblem surpasses now Zelda in terms of reps (there's also the fact that you don't got anybody in the timeframe between Marth and Roy), I second that FE simply earned this high amount of representation due to becoming popular. And I don't even care about Fire Emblem outside of Smash, mind you.

    ^I'd totally dig a Jugdral Character in Smash tbh. And personally I think the whole "too many FE characters" is pretty lame. I get that people who aren't FE fans probably can't get that much out of these characters, but FE has just such a high amount of suitable, amazing characters that I think it's almost justified.
