Woah. Wish I knew what all that meant. Well, I have a vague idea. Is hardware the console itself or merely a physical copy of a game? If the latter, is software the digital copy of a game?

  • I wonder if Nintendo would consider releasing another portable VR headset. They have the know how and 20 yrs experience since Virtual Boy was released. Perhaps they'll go full steam with augmented reality as its a cheaper, more viable option.

They need commercials, especially a quick explanation. I never even knew a lot of stuff about the Wii U until I got it.

  • It should be noted that Nintendo made 1/3 of it profits last year from DLC. I hope this doesn't mean they're going to start cutting of full parts of a game to sell as day one DLC after already paying full price, like so many other game companies are doing right now!

  • That isn't so bad. Hope the NX will make things much better. CJ: "Hardware" means the system itself. In this case, you can understand this as "Number of systems sold."

CJ "Hardware" is the console and "Software" is the games you play on it.

Sam T, that seems very hard to believe as there's very little software that has paid for DLC and an even smaller number that have DLC equating to a third (or more) of the cost of the game itself.

  • If only the Wii U sold as well as Amiibo :/

  • Let me rephrase that: I hope Nintendo doesn't intentionally release unfinished games for full price, then release the rest of the game as DLC.

  • I wish I could comment something smart about this that everyone else already didn't... What is there to be said. Off topic, I wish Dead Rising comes back to Nintendo console once again, now that it has more graphical power. Even on Wii it still has a charm (I am currently playing it a lot), because of motion controls and so much dark humour!

  • Also, about the million sellers news two Discussion posts back. I think ZombiU is very very close to 1 million mark, am I right or am I right? I mean judging by vgchartz

  • @Frishkii: Correct, at least 800,000 units plus, although as specified, the list above is for first party software. Zombi U was a third party title put out by Ubisoft.
