Online Taunting

I'll give you a quick rundown of how taunting works in 1 v 1 For Glory. Taunting at the beginning of the match is a friendly mutual gesture, like saying "Let's have a good match!" Taunting after their death means they're saying your kill was nice. Usually after a meteor or early KO. Taunting after your death is usually an insult and should be taken with a grain of salt.

    The last part of taunting I agree is very hurtful. Do you ever get that feeling of loosing some expertise of your play when that taunting happens?

    Quite the opposite, I purposely focus all my attention on hurting their soul from there on. But I can see why some could lose concentration from that.

    I don't try to loose focus. Usually, if they taunt after my death, I would taunt after their death as a sort of payback.

    I sometimes taunt after their second death (the victory KO), but only if they were getting really, REALLY annoying. Like, Brawl Sonic annoying.

    Actually the whole reason I posted this is to tell people who don't know that not every taunt is meant insultingly. When I taunt at the beginning of the match as a sign of sportsmanship and they run and grab me...it's annoying.

    I generally don't taunt with certain characters who are fast enough to reach me (Sanic or Falcon usually) or characters with spammy projectiles (Fox and Pit) but sometimes I still will try. If I taunt first though, at least show some respect.
