If Cross from Xenoblade Chronicles X were to be featured in the next Smash Bros. game, ideally his/her custom Specials would function like Palutena's in that they're completely different from the default Special in each category. Also, have the Specials utilize as many weapons as possible across all of them.

the player avatar isn't Cross their default name? even if it isn't, that's the name most people use for him/her

That probably is the default name. I originally thought that "Cross" was just a randomly generated name.

If Xenoblade X gets a character, it will likely be Elma.

@Dark true, Elma is the more likely representative and I wouldn't be opposed to Elma either, I just want to see another character whose specials are completely different from each other
