My favorite part about the new DLC

Is how every single freaking Corrin main spams side special and his/her counter....BECAUSE WHY NOT! It's official that Smash Bros. makes me want to absolutely avoid Fire Emblem like the plague.

    Yeah man, that counter is unbelievable. I've seen more people spam their neutral B though to be honest. Once that sucker hits you not only get paralyzed but you go flying in the air. I usually handle them 1V1 though but in a 2V2 team match with two spamming Corrin's? Nahhh. It gets crazy lol

    It isn't just Corrin. Most players who use characters with counters always do this too. Only the skilled players know to use counter very sparingly. Don't let this stop you from looking at the Fire Emblem series, though.

    After fighting 2000 of the same kind of Marth, Roy, Robin, Ike, Lucina, and soon Corrin, I'm done with Fire Emblem. I haven't seen any other character the a counter have their counter abused that much; Corrin players literally just sit there spamming Side Special and countering if you even get close enough.

    There's always going to be players who spam certain moves all the time. Keep in mind that people disliked Cloud for this reason because of them always charging the Limit Break. Just give everyone a few days or two to actually play as Corrin properly. Also, remember that Robin doesn't have a counter and there are actually some pretty impressive/non-spammy Robin players out there.

    Don't let this ruin your thoughts on Fire Emblem, it's a very fun strategy RPG and both Awakening and Fates are worth buying. Spamming in those games will get you killed, trust me, I know.

    Also, with the counters, you have two options: Grab, which works more often, but is not the most reliable action for some characters (ex. Cloud). Or wait it out and use a charged attack (Smash attack, for example.) Every counter has an opening after the counter frames, which leaves the enemy vulnerable.
