    Mario has to save a Princess who should be able to defend herself, but does not, from some monster after going through multiple lands filled with obstacle courses and enemies all on daily basis for little to no reward. When he is done doing all of that he has to return to being a plumber in a crammed house with his younger brother. Mario should be mental rather than just angry.

    He's usually energetic and enthusiastic in his games, but I guess he's serious and focused in Smash as he's facing off against other characters. Probably to show them he's ready for them.
