Umbra Clock Tower Should Definitely Be A Counterpick In Competitive Play But...

...I'm sure it won't. People are just gonna echo what someone like ZeRo or Nairo says about the stage and not give their own opinion. It really grinds my gears when people in the Smash community just go blindly with whatever a top player wants or says.

  • The only big obstacles/hazards would be the random platforms floating about, right?

  • It's not that great anyway. RNG-based platforms are one thing, but some go under the stage, some don't have ledges to grab, and some even appear on the side of the screen and are walk-offs. I can see it being a counterpick for some regions, but I doubt it will be common. Especially since the only legal stages nowadays are pretty much just obvious neutrals.

  • I don't really go as the top players say,(mostly) but it definitely looks like it could be legal.

  • I think you're missing the point of tournaments. If you want to play on "fun" stages just play with your friends or people online. I see nothing wrong with neutral stages being the norm in competitive play, they're called neutrals for a reason, they're completely fair. It's more variety than Japan at least. They play on like 3 stages, and 99% of the time it's Smashville anyway.

  • I would love it to, but the platforms can go under the stage as well as create walk offs, so it's unlikely. Which is really sad 'cause I love this stage.
