I just realize something. This is rather interesting...

Super Smash Bros. 64 has two rows of the character roster. Super Smash Bros. Melee has three rows of the character roster. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has four rows of the character roster. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U's full roster has five rows of the character roster. And Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has six rows of the character roster.

  • As for the Nintendo 3DS roster, i'm not counting DLC as a separate character section. This is a coincidence. Although Nintendo 3DS was release before the Wii U. So not counting the Nintendo 3DS roster setup, it would add one additional row each coming installment.

  • This may have been intended so the reason for it could be interesting. Someone should ask Masahiro Sakurai about this.

  • This is once again an incomplete format by Sakurai. I dont think he thought this through when he make the game and he still couldn't do that much to make this game good. As far as Smash NX goes, if it's really true that it's happening, I hope that someone would do a better job than Sakurai.
