DLC Preferences

Just a quick thought here. The new characters, Corrin and Bayonetta are totally awesome, but who would you rather have had? Who did you vote for and why?

    Even though I'm enjoying Corrin and Bayonetta, I would've preferred Banjo & Kazooie and King K. Rool. I voted for K. Rool because we could really use more villains and DK reps in Smash, plus he's just a great classic character. And Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite games of all time, so having the bear and bird in Smash would've been a dream come true for me.

    Shantae or Shovel Knight would be the first indie representative in Smash Bros. and both have made it big with Nintendo with Shantae existing since the Gameboy Color and being a female representative for Smash. The Inklings from Splatoon would be some new Nintendo blood coming into a game that is kind of dominated by older characters. Also all of them have great potential movesets and designs.

    Would've preferred pretty much any Nintendo character over Corrin (K.Rool, Wolf, Ridley, Isaac, Krystal, Ray 01, Isa, etc). Bayonetta is fine I guess. I certainly didn't vote for her, but she's a worthy addition imo; I won't complain.

    I would have loved to have seen Krystal from Star Fox, and Impa. Also, I thought it would have been cool if Chrono from Chrono Trigger was dlc. And the Harvest Moon character would have been pretty interesting.

    Those are all great choices. I think Impa would have been a cool addition. What do you think? Do you think they could've also made another Metroid character? Like one from Other M? Maybe Adam Malkovich? Or Anthony Higgs?

    I still don't really understand why Corrin was added. I mean, not complaning, because I love Corrin, but I wonder why. Even after Sakurai said that Chrom would have just been another swordfighter, they gave us Corrin. I understand Corrin is different in regards what Corrin is. (Spoilers: I haven't played the game yet and I don't want to know anything else.) Thoughts on this?

    I think Corrin is pretty cool, but someone who worked on the game even said (I think was Sakurai. I might be wrong though.) that there are too many FE characters, but I guess we get what we get until the next Smash game.

    But I don't think that the Smash port for NX (if it is a port) will have new characters or anything. New modes and stages maybe, but not new characters. But there could also be a Smash game way later on down the road.

    Too true. Maybe it had to do with marketing? Hmm.... You're right though about that. I hope we see another Smash game in the future.....the only thing is, I'll be old by then! LOL
