Disconnect time.

I ran into some very slow moving For Fun matches, almost unplayably slow, so I disconnected from the battle. But, as I went to join a new match in For Glory hoping it wouldn't be as slow, not to mention more fun than the last For Fun match, I was told to wait for TEN minutes, as though I had AFKd. Why is this? Should I be getting penalized for leaving a match like this?

  • Yup, quitting mid-match is one of the things that the game frowns upon. Not moving or only going after the same player will also get you booted off the match and given a 10 minute penalty. The timer also doesn't start until you try to play again.

  • Well, that's my bad I guess then. Out of all of those, going after the same player equaling a consequence really doesn't make sense, considering Smash is a fighting game, AND that can totally happen coincidentally or without mal intent, while it can rarely be direct attack on a person. But, I guess they're all just to be safe, so I'll try not to do any of those now.
