    Bayonetta, Cloud, Fox, Sheik, Diddy Kong, Mario, Luigi, Marth (post-patch), Zero Suit Samus, Meta Knight, and Roy are all viable options for high-level competitive play.

    Lucas, Shiek, Ness, Corrin, Marth, Kirby, ZSS and Bayonetta. Lucas's movees have little endlag, and they string together easily Shiek is toptier for a reason Ness has a lot of combo ability with lethal moves Corrin has stupid range Marth beats out roy for combo ability. Kirby's D-air is an amazing combo move,starter, finisher, and spike tool. ZSS is ZSS. Bayonetta can lock you into the air.

    And, can't forget about Kirby!! He helped me get the Duck Hunt stage by KOing 2 enemies in Cruel Smash, when you needed to KO one enemy, and that is probably the easiest way to KO enemies in Cruel Smash.
