Counter Surge

Everyone is freaking out over how it can insta-kill from a Fully Charged Bowser F-Smash at 0%, and I'm just sitting here wondering why the heck Bowswer would charge F-Smash against someone with a counter. I mean, the move's good, but counters aren't something you can just spam. You have to be able to read an attack to get good use out of it. They're really easy to play around.

  • Speaking of counters, what frame does Corrin's counter come out on? I wanna compare it too all the other counters and see some of the differences.

  • Huh, I can't seem to find the frame data. I'm sure someone at Smashboards would of found it by now... I recall that a game tip called the move "a bit slow compared to other counters", but I'm not sure how "slow" that is.

  • Aha, I just remembered a sight that specialized in collecting Smash 4 frame data. Corrin's counter is active from frames 7-29. If he isn't hit then, he's got 35 frames of endlag. Also, several people on Smash Boards that Roy has a stronger counter, but Corrin's seems stronger because of a better knockback angle, especially when he's using it to escape a juggle.
