Though the level 60 Mastema and Amdusias can eventually surpass it in terms of raw damage, the Ares 90 never truly outlives its usefulness: In addition to moving faster than other Skells, it also has a high base Fuel value which combined with its low weight compared to the Mastema and Amdusias makes it optimal for exploring via flight.
