It seems that once you reach S or S+ rank, teammates are more skilled individually, but most of them don't have any concept of teamwork. "Splatoon" is a TEAM game. T-E-A-M (Together Everyone Achieves More). I'd say I encounter it more within the Japanese players, as opposed to American or European players. That's just my observation in a great deal of ranked matches I've played.
