Question

Should there be more characters?

I was wondering about this. Nintendo could add more characters, but not from video games. I was thinking that Nintendo could add characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Batman, and other characters in that category.

    Not really,I would feel the same when they announced bayonetta.She's not from a nintendo franchise,and she only has one game for wii u.

    Bayonetta technically has 3 Wii U games. Thats 3 more than Captain Falcon or Little Mac. Smash Bros should just be for videogame characters

    That's a horrible idea. Smash is a celebration of Nintendo and video games. Adding someone like Batman or Spider-Man would ruin the whole point of Smash. Besides, Bayonetta is the last character s they couldn't join even if they were eligible.

    More characters? Yes because I think that Nintendo can put at least a few more. But I have to deal with the characters that we currently have because I don't want to be greedy and strain Sakurai even further. Characters from non-gaming platforms? Eeeeeeeeeh... I don't think it would be happening anytime soon. :|

    In theory yes they could add more characters BUT their not because they are moving on to the next project. Also they cannot add those characters as they break Sakurais first rule for who can be in SSB: They must have originated from a Video Game in order to even be considered for SSB. That rule will always be attached to SSB game series.

    Well, since I forgot Sakurai's rule, maybe more characters from Street Fighter could join. Like Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, M. Bison, and Blanka. Then there's MORTAL KOMBAT. We could have Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kano, Shao-Kahn, Kittana, Baraka, Mileena, and Reptile.

    Sakurais third rule: 1 playable character per 3rd party franchise(in other words no more Street Fighters will be added to SSB). If we do get a Mortal Kombat rep(3rd party) i hope it would be Scorpion
