why was everyone so salty about Corrin?

everyone was mad about the sixth fire emblem character but have yet to consider that the Mario series has seven characters ( counting out yoshi, wario, and the kongs) what is this all about?

    I think it might have been that not that many people like Fire Emblem as Mario, and it could've been another character. That's just my opinion anyway.

    The only thing I don't like about Corrin is his/her's Counter move is OP.

    He's pretty much the only character in the series who CAN be directly blamed for taking another character's spot. If Sakurai wasn't ordered (yes, ORDERED) to put Corrin in, then we could have had a second ballot character.

    And you've yet to consider that the Mario franchise saved the video game industry and is Nintendo's most successful franchise to date while Fire Emblem was a failure until Awakening. The sudden success doesn't warrant 6 reps while Ninty's 2nd biggest franchise (Zelda) has 1 less rep, still has Falcondorf, and didn't get a new rep this game.

    Fire Emblem was NOT a failure. It was always a popular series in Japan. And being a series that CONSTANTLY has a new game for fans to be excited about and one of the few series that even MAKES new games frequently or regularly kinda does give it an excuse to have a lot of characters.
