Why SSB4 3DS version is better than the Wii U.
1. No need to waste time registering people's names into the game before a tournament starts. 2. You can use the roulette exploit to choose what reward you'll get after finishing a level in Classic Mode. 3. It's the first portable 3D Smash Bros game ever to be released. 4. And there's no need to have a nice T.V to play Smash Brothers 4 with.

So you say the 3DS version is why Ice Climbers was cut out? You still think the Wii U can handle 16 characters in 8 Player Smash with Ice Climbers of Nana and Popo? The Pokemon Trainer from Brawl was terrible, whats with the stamina mechanic that they get weaker as the fight goes on that you have to switch? I was very happy that Charizard was in Smash 4 alone, including Sheik, and Zelda as well.

Yes the Wii U can handle the Ice Climbers in 8-Player Smash because they were almost finished with their development and there was NEVER any evidence that 16 of them was too much for them to handle. The Gamecube, Wii and Wii U are just that more powerful than the 3DS.

I'm pretty comfortable with the 3DS controls in Smash 4, and I haven't ever broken the circle pad before. Team Smash might be a problem since it's a little harder to see, it excels in 1v1 though. I bet someone is already playing on their 3DS with a gamecube controls through high technical engineering to accomplish that. I'm maining Corrin, he/she is the most unique Fire Emblem character.

You can only post pictures to miiverse on the New 3DS, there are limited customizeable controls, no Special Battles, less stages/songs than Brawl without DLC/Updates, and I've seen this as well for myself: an emulator of the N64 game looks better.

Obviously the 3DS isn't as powerful as an actual consol, it's a hand held. You can literally take it with you anywhere, I'd say it's fully portable. I've sunken many an hour into it on road trips and stuff.

And actually Steven (sorry, I can't find all those symbols..) he is right about Ice Climbers being axed due to the 3DS. It's not /that/ powerful. It's hardly a reason to complain though. Sure it would've been nice to have them. But I'd much rather have a portable Smash without them, the a console exclusive with them.

They could have removed the stamina mechanic when they remade PKMN Trainer in Smash 4, but because the 3DS was too weak to handle characters that switch movesets mid-match, he had to be cut, leaving Charizard as his only PKMN still in the game, and Charizard is garbage in Smash 4.

They would have had to mod their system to use GCN controls. The Wii U version can use GCN controls, as well as Wiimote, Wiimote+Nunchuk, Classic, Classic Pro, Wii U Pro, and even the 3DS as a controller. 1v1 and other multiplayer modes offline on the WeakDS requires the other people to have the system and the game. Wii U require 1 Wii U and 1 game regardless of the number of players.

Well theres online tournaments on the 3DS version, kinda. You just have one guy have everyone enter his game room rotating while streaming live, you'll see the game screens, and the hoster plays as a self destructing Jigglypuff to start the match. Maybe this will give the 3DS version some spotlight?

If you want the DLC's you need the newest software version, and can only do that while connected to the internet. You need the same software version as someone else to do multiplayer with them, and in previous versions, you couldn't even save or start up the game unless you were updated. Games in the 80's weren't like that. Still think its better than the Wii U game?

um... the real competitive scenes are in the Wii U version. Y'know, the ones with M2K, ZeRo, M2K, etc.

I don't like handheld systems. Thats the reason I have a supergameboy and gameboy player. I only use the ds because of exclusive games on it. I don't play games if Im not at home or in a hotel room. Why would I want to look down at and play on a tiny screen when I can use a TV and a control pad.

Stephen: In other words, there isn't a Tournament mode on the WeakDS version and you have to create a makeshift version of it. The Wii U version has a Tournament mode. It may suck compared to previous installments, but it's there. You can do the same thing on the Wii U version. The only difference is that you don't need to swap WeakDSs each match. Just controllers.

And even though its not as fun as Target SMASH←(Ironic its not in this game) Angry Bir...I mean Target Blast has 3 stages on the WIN U, and the 3DS doesn't let you use customs on Trophy Rush.

The Internet and StreetPass functions on the 3DS in general are the exact opposite of each other. Would you rather do StreetSmash OR get Downloadable Content? Your still expected to be connected at least 95% of the time, which isn't so portable, unless you're in a newer vehicle that has its own Wi-Fi.

@Pickle Maybe the reason that there are so many miis in a mode of many that the 3DS doesn't even have is because you can't use them anywhere else online. If people want to use them, there's nothing wrong with that and it most DEFINITELY DOES NOT make the game worse.

@Denzel It all depends on opinion. (and I have New 3DS XL and it runs smash no problem.) And it depends on what situation you're in; Like when your traveling alot and you have a 3DS, you'll probably play ssb on the 3ds more than Wii u and your opinion will be affected to say "The 3DS version is better."

@Denzel As cool as the Wii U version may be, its not portable and people who want to play ssb on the go, the best choice is the 3DS version.

@Denzel And seeing that you don't have a 3DS, why would you argue on here, seeing as you don't even have the 3DS version.
