    BlazBlue Continuum Shift, SkullGirls, Virtua Fighter 5 FS, SSB Melee & Brawl, and PS All-Stars Battle Royale are all as good or better than SSB4 imo.

    If Smash is a fighting game depends on how you play it. With items on it is more a party game than a fighting game. Pure as fighting game it is too simple to my likings. Then my top three would be: 1. Tekken 2. Soul Calibur 3. Smash That said, I do still play Smash often. Both on my own and with friends. The game is a lot of fun and easy to pick up. And it is the ultimate crossover fighter.
