Do I have to have every single amiibo? I thought you could CHOOSE between each of the 8-bit Mario and Yarn Yoshi figures, but apparently everyone is supposed to have ALL of them..so it's not good enough to just have Classic 8-bit Mario and Green Yarn Yoshi??

    The different amiibo variants do have differences. If you want ALL the content that amiibo unlock, yes, you must have them all.

    The Yarn Yoshis all do the same thing. The only difference in the 8-bit Mario amiibos is the color palette, and to me, the modern colors defeat the purpose of it being 8-bit.

    Why can't I just have one Yarn Yoshi? That's all a person needs for full functionality with Woolly World.

    Technically, there are minor and I mean MINOR differences between variants. Having all Yarn Yoshis gets you the Green, Pink and Blue Yoshi skins. Usually when you choose a profile, you can only have one of those colors per save without the amiibo. In Super Mario Maker, the color Mario takes on when getting that unlocked Mushroom depends on the amiibo.

    What's the point of 8-bit "modern", anyway? Don't those fancy colors defeat the purpose of being 8-bit? To me they do, so IMO I chose the better of the two, so why do I need to buy the lesser one? I mean it gives people a choice, but what good is a choice if you're forced to have both, anyway??
