Continuing my quest to analyze Octarian civilization, I next enter Propeller-Lift Fortress, a cave with old warehouse-like buildings, broken bridges styled like the Golden Gate Bridge, and stacks of dolosse, which are the jack-like structures used to protect shorelines against wave erosion. There's certainly water here, but like the rest of the terrain, it's cut off and standing by itself. Weird.

  • Ink Cannons are a lot like spawn/checkpoints in that they have a floor panel filled with ink. Upon diving in, the panel rises until it's level with the shield, and then the turret can fire out great globs of ink without any concern for ammo. I suppose if any Octarians were to use them, it'd have to be Octolings or snorkeling Octotroopers, but first the cannons need to be their own color of ink.
