What's with people saying "(character) ruined Smash!"?

Seriously. People that are saying these sentences are acting childish. Just because you think for example, Spongebob fits more than Bayonetta doesn't mean they will make it in Smash. Yeah. Bayonetta is an M-rated character and still got in. Because you guys voted for her. One character doesn't ruined Smash Bros.. Get your facts straight.

    I agree. Everyone I knew disliked the fact Snake was in Brawl because he didn't fit in and he was from a rated M franchise.

    One main reason people say this character ruined smash is probably because they just hate that character *cough* *cough* Ditty *cough* or some other dumb reason

    To me, the only characters who would ruin Smash for me would be like Goku, Shrek or Freddy Fazbear. At least Corrin is a Nintendo character and Bayonetta has good history with the big N.

    Well, when Bayonetta was first announced for Smash, I was pretty dissapointed just because she was M rated, not only that, but she realisticly shoots and part of her body shows when attacking with her clothes, but those are the down sides with Bayonetta in Smash (imo). Also, Non-video game characters are not allowed in Smash based on your Spongebob statement, because they change Sakurai's rules?

    It's all about how a ton of Smash fanboys/fangirls have this sense of entitlement. Nintendo doesn't own us anything more than the vanilla game. All the extra content (DLC costumes, stages, characters) is bonus content. Nintendo didn't have to do the fan ballot. We should be thankful that they did that. You don't even have to get the DLC if you don't want to.

    I was irritated at first, but I warmed up to the two characters. Here's my view on the situation. People are mainly mad because Bayonetta and Corrin were unexpected. Now, unexpected is generally fine, unless it was based off a voting. In which case people want the expected. Not the unexpected. Most people felt ignored after this.

    @Billy I agree with you on that. They don't have to buy it if they don't want to. It doesn't change anything. (Except other online players playing as them.) I did own all the DLC characters and stages.

    Most people expected characters like Shovel Knight, KingKrool, Shantae, Rayman, Inkling, Geno, Waluigi, ect ect, to win. They said Bayonetta was in the top 5 in the us. Who were the other 4? They chose Europes #1. Who was the rest of the planets #1 picks? Also strangely enough, they never even mentioned Japans votes. Who did they vote for? And the mii costumes of popular characters only made matte

    That's the thing, isn't it? The ballot. People probably think (perhaps even subconsciously) that, "Because I voted in the ballot. I'm getting the character i wanted," but because they didn't get what they wanted, they see Bayonetta as this character they didn't want who stole the spot from their vote, even though their vote never owned the spot in Smash anyway.

    I don´t get it. The game isn´t ruined just because there is a USK 18/M rated character in it. Oh my godness, that´s so horrible... Seriously, calm down. It is just a game, made with effort. Nobody have to buy the characters and all the other DLCs at all. It is strange that just the European votes mattered though.

    @Colin You know you don't have to get the Bayonetta DLC, right? Unless you want to complete the roster. It doesn't change anything besides facing Bayonetta players online if you didn't buy her. There are other character than Bayonetta that has guns. (Fox and Falco for example.)

    @Colin Also, Bayonetta was chosen by fans in the Smash Ballot. Nintendo didn't have to pick her. She got the most votes in Europe and Worldwide overall. And among the Top 5 in the US. Don't blame Nintendo. Blame the people that wanted Bayonetta.

    Wow. People can be ignorant. Bayo was first realisable character worldwide. And the world 'realisable' is what ticks people off. Because that might mean actually their choice was above Bayonetta. So they're mad they didn't get what they wanted. Also to Collin -Bowser Jr. uses CHAINSAWS. Corrin has CHAINSAW sword. And these are horror movie stuff. It's not like thay made characters...
