I think I may have found my next main.

I have Link and Kirby as my set-in-stone mains. I tried maining Doc or Mewtwo, but...they just didn't feel right. Then I got him after going random and learned that I LOVE how he fights... Lucario. His attacks feel so...fluent! Even at a low % (which lower knockback means better combos anyway, amiright?) Definitely gonna learn him. Anyone got tips?

  • He feels like such a fast comboer himself though. And the edgeguarding is definitely real. I wouldn't say Mewtwo is his worst matchup...it'd probably be someone he can't catch. What combos usually work?

  • As his damage goes up he gets stronger, don't be afraid to get your hands dirty at high damage. I like using his 3 hit a combo, dodge back and hit them with a orb blast.

  • So far, I've found a few favorite combos to me. Forward Throw to Extremespeed to Dash Attack. Up Tilt to short hop Back Air. And Down Tilt to grab to Down or Up Throw into Forward or Up Air.

  • I don't play Lucario much, but after playing against him with Toon Link I can confirm he's weak against fast and/or projectile spamming characters. Boomerang cancels out aura sphere of any size, and TLink can keep him at distance with 3 different projectiles.

  • lucario's aura sphere against mewtwo isn't good to use because mewtwo can reflect it with confusion and in general, lucario is rubbish.

  • if your playing wii u version, don't play as lucario in 75m stage, i've tried it in brawl and he gets ko'd pretty easily.

  • Good, there should be more Lucario mains. He's just kinda hard to play cause of his bad frame data on kill moves. He's about mix ups I believe. And try learning those B reversed neutral B, that is a decent approach and does some serious shield pressure.

  • @gameboy one advantage over a chargeable projectile doesn't mean the matchup is unarguable. And who plays on 75m anyway? That stage is awful...

  • @Connor good, finally a main worth B reversing. Arrow and Inhale only do so much, except an occasional mixup. Thanks.
