Bayonetta witch time

Who believe her witch time is the best counter in the game and it's broken?

  • I think most powerful counter goes to Corrin, but Bayonetta's is the most fun to use.

  • It's actually the worst counter. Because it slows down opponents, it'll likely mess up your follow up combos. It's only really good for securing kills when your foe is at high damage. And just like any other counter, it can be baited.

  • It also gets ruined by multi-hit attacks. I was able to finish up my Robin's elwind jab before Bayo could punish. XD

  • When you can punish a guy with two Smash attacks in a row, that's just a LITTLE broken.

  • Depends. Time it well -free smash in the face. Time it badly -opponent will stop and charge their smash while you counter. Also, slowed opponent can still hit you. Bayonetta once used witch time to counter my Dragon Fang shot, but ended up getting KO by jaws before she was able to finish me off with a smash attack.

  • Roy's counter does the most damage. ;D

  • Honestly, as a new player who got the game just for her I use it for the bat within more. Very rarely do I actually use it as a chance to attack. But that's largely based on feeling more comfortable using it to dodge and reset my approach having played the Bayo games. Since it diminishes here with use I've found it's simply better to reduce damage and escape than to use offensively.
