Does this game ever go on sale?

This game is listed as "Free to Start" on the eShop instead of $49.99 so that puts it in a weird position since the demo is labeled as the game and the game itself is labeled as DLC. Does the full game unlock ever actually go on sale? I'm fine paying $20, $30 at most, for a digital game but definitely not $50. At that price, I want a physical copy or it's no deal.

  • Couldn't have said it better. When publishers started to push for digital media years ago, one of the biggest things they stressed as to why they where going that route was cost savings. They could pass the savings from not printing disks, instructions or packaging along to the consumer. The idea of cheaper software was appealing for some, so that smoothed over alot of questions consumers had

  • and alot of trepidation about it as well. However these "cost savings" aren't being passed along to the consumer as promised as this game is proving. They are saving far more than a $10 price difference of this game to a standard physical release. Turns out the real reason companies want digital media is so that they have total control over the product you purchased as well as control over the

  • Excluding of corse, free digital games. Those don't cost anything. Digital media has no monitory value to me.
