Tips for getting better?

Hey all, played this at a friends house. Loved it. Picking it up tomorrow, was wondering if you had any advice for getting better? I could barely fight lvl 3 computers.

  • I would give you tips, but honestly if you can't even JV3 level 3 cpu's, then I don't know what to say. I'm a professional player and I would help you, but.... I can't explain any of these stuff since you wouldn't be familiar with it. Sorry, but all I can say it keep playing CPU's with items on until you hit level 9. Then play without items. After that, play some For Glory(Be aware of salty player

  • Once you start to get the hang in the competitive scene, then I'll help you. Also, For Glory is like the worst way to train, but for you, you need to train on Glory to help you understand the basic knowledge to smash.

  • Oh yeah also if u notice someone who is repeatedly doing something, find a way to punish it, also u too shouldn't spam either cuz they could punish u too

  • The best advice I can give to a beginner is pick a couple different characters and learn them inside and out. Don't use too many because then you'll never get good with anymof them.

  • I tried practicing on special smash set on fast. I think it is helping me to react faster, you should try it too if you like.
