Circle Pad issues

Does the Circle Pad seem maybe sticky sometimes? I'm playing on the New 3DS if that's anything. I bought it the day after Christmas, and so I guess I still need to break it in a little and get used to it. My old 3DS XL I've had for a few years, so the Circle Pad has been used a lot more.

I can't remember if I had issues with my old one when I bought it, but I didn't have fast paced games like Smash Bros. My thumb gets a little tired more easily on the New 3DS, but I can play longer on the old one.

I just hate having to let it cost me the match sometimes for the sake of my system keeping its Circle Pad. It really wasn't designed to play like that. Small short movements are fine, like in Pokemon, or holding it in a direction, but flicking it constantly really isn't good for it if you want to have a Circle Pad.
