    I feel that's a bad representation tbh. Fire Emblem is massive in Japan and growing fast now everywhere else. If it were based on franchise the roster would be overflowing with Mario, Pokemon, LoZ and FE imo

    FE is really a situation of circumstances. First you take Marth, Ike and Robin. Those three are obvious. Then Lucina got included as a clone due to spare time and because of the context in her game, it makes some sense. Then Roy got included for being the top-requested Melee vet (presumably after Mewtwo...). And then Corrin because advertisement. So it's not really because FE is so big.

    How often do I have to say that Lucina is no damn clone. Just play Marth and Lucina and you will see they're different, even though there moveset is the same. Also Lucina is a unique character

    Lucina is basically a clone, she just has the tipper special ability removed. it allows her a closer playstyle that relies less on spacing. other than that there isn't a whole lot of difference. both can be used interchangably, like pit and dark pit

    Lucy, being clones doesn't mean they're exactly the same. All clones have the same moveset with different properties or attributes. Lucina is a clone as opposed to being made entirely from scratch, because she is built from a copy of Marth.
