Sm4sh NX Edition

Learning that Sakurai is taking a much needed vacation, this could possibly mean that Smash for NX could simply be an updated port of the WiiU edition. Which will likely have all the DLC, and possibly slightly updated visuals. Dont think this will attracted people who got it on WiiU, but could entice those who didnt own the console.

    Especially if it's a launch title. It just seems too early for a true Smash sequel.

    Theres no doubt that it is a port over of the WiiU version. However its very likely that they will add certain veterans and maybe some newcomers to help grab everyones attention and help the game sell.

    I'm just posting as some seem to think it could be an entirely new game. I dont expect alot of new content, but Im sure coming E3, they'll shed more light on the subject. Would be nice if it was a fusion of the handheld & console versions.

    Ice Climbers seem possible if the NX is stronger then current gen Nintendo systems. As word has it the NX is actually two systems, a handheld & a console.

    They could add some 3DS stages onto it. Probably also add Ice Climbers, Wolf, and maybe 5 newcomers based on the ballot results(minus characters who break Sakurais rule and Bayonetta), and include all the DLC content onto the game.

    I wont expect 5 newcomers, but atleast 4-5 added characters. Likely consists mostly of veterans and maybe 1 or 2 newcomers. With rumors of NX's Handheld variant coming the end of this year, I doubt there will be alot of time to make new fighters. Vets would be more plausible to get up and running in that kind if time frame.

    Smash bros NX if it's going to be made is going to be the definitive version of Smash 4. @Kage both 3ds and Wii U version share the same roster, physics and DLC that's why I call it Smash 4.

    @James, considering they would have the full team to make the game, and they made 51 characters in 2 years im sure they could make a couple newcomers. @Alex, Well since Sakurai officially calls 3DS=SSB4 and SSBWiiU=SSB5 i just call them SSB4/5.

    I'm not a game developer, so not sure how long it takes to create a new fighter. I'm simply judging by the amount of detail they gone through with previous newcomers. As little details like Ryu's classic button commands, Bayonetta's shadow, and so-on seems like they'd take alot of time to put together. May take longer or maybe shorter, I'm not really sure. But anythings possible I guess.

    It took time for DLC because Sakurai had a very small team thats not even 1/6 of what the normal team consists of. If he had his whole team for the DLC he would have had all the DLC released much sooner than they were.
