Why didn't FE have 4 or 5 reps in Melee and Brawl?

I thought FE was popular in Japan!

    it was,but it gained even more after it came to america.and it especially grew after awakening,and the hype with fates.

    because awakening was the point when the franchise became truly succesful worldwide. and fates seems to be on it's way to beat it or at least come close. FE has never been more relevant. i think haters fail to understand that. maybe 6 is a bit excessive, but i don't really care about franchise representation. if a character is good and has potential, why not? and corrin decidedly had potential
