Advice on Playing as Zelda and Corrin

Zelda I'm pretty good with, she just is a bad character and need more advice. And for Corrin, what are good approach options with him?

With any character, you want to approach with safe moves. Since Zelda's moves are slow to start, you have to play her defensively, meaning you have to pretty much attack when there is an opening. I find that her best poking moves is her jab and down tilt. Those moves come out quick and catch the opponents off guard. I have some replays on my profile if you want to look?

  • Corrin actually has quite a number of approach options. You can fire Dragon Fang Shot from afar and then close the distance. When closer, I think your best option is Back Air. It's not the fastest move in the world, but it's pretty strong and pushes you backwards, so even if you whiff you're safe. If you can, try to use Down tilt. Leads to a bunch of combos, but doesn't have the biggest range.

  • Forward Air is fast and has wide hitbox. While it doesn't push you out of danger like back air, it actually sends them up allowing some follow ups like up air. Neutral Air is fast (maybe even faster thsn Nair) and covers your surroundings, so it's versatile. I often use that to apporach. Lastly, Dragon Lunge. It's good mix-up tool. I'd recommend either short hopping than firing (tip is quite

If not, depends on what you want to do. If you miss, quickly stop pinning and use tge safest action. Jumping is probably the best, but if they are behind you or you want to fall back, back kick is better.
