I need to know...

So i was playing some FG 1v1 and i come across a Sanic player and all he did was spam that homing move and the one that chargeses and makes him go around (Like jiggs roll and yoshis egg roll) with sometimes a few arials. It wasn't hard to deal with but it wasnt an enjoyable match. Do all Sanic mains do this? Is this really the Sanic strategy?

  • Yes it is the strategy. Some players don't like moves that r spamed. It doesnt bother me cause those moves r in the game. If a player wants to use the same move over n over it makes it easier for you to beat that opponent.

I've played some terrible Sonics that spam that move but I've also played against some really Sonics. His homing attack can be tricky to dodge and quite fast, too, which makes it a good move to spam. But as long as you know how to punish spammers, it should be quite easy to deal with.

  • Spindash is stupidly safe in most situations (while being rewarding to land), so it gets spammed to ridiculous amounts, that's just how it is. Thankfully it's incredibly telegraphed, so what it does in most matches is just slow things down a lot. There's a reason I really don't like Sonic...

  • Sonics in tourney don't do this. It is not the ideal way to play Sonic.
