Apparently Sonic Retro (a fairly reputable site) has reported that they have a Sonic related announcement coming tomorrow. Assuming the rumor is true, what do you think this surprise announcement might be?

    Nice choices. I actually agree with your Mecha Sonic idea, I was just worried that it would be too similar to Metal Sonic (just in appearance, obviously their battles are very different). Also, Egg Emperor would have been my DC era pick, but I figured that since it was already in the 3DS version of Generations, it wouldn't be a possibility. In fact, the 3DS ruined some of my level picks, too...

    My top level choices for Sonic 2, Adventure, and Adventure 2 would have been Casino Night Zone, Emerald Coast, and Radical Highway, but since they were already on the 3DS, I figured that would ruin their shot for a potential Generations 2. Don't know if that would've actually made a difference or not, though. At this point, I just hope Generations 2 is actually a thing!

    I've actually never played the 3DS version of Generations. I always wanted to get it, but the price never went down significantly (it's still about $30 IIRC). I too hope that Generations 2 comes out this year (assuming Adventure 3 doesn't come out).

    My other Colors choice would be Aquarium Park. For some reason, the water stages in every Sonic game stand out to me, like Hydrocity Zone.

    I would choose Lava Mountain from Lost World but I never played the Wii U version so I never played through the stages, cuz on the 3ds version, you play against 2 bosses in the first 3 levels then against Eggman in final stage.

    I personally thought Erazor Djinn was really cool, despite the game being lackluster. If they did stages from the Riders games, I'd like Gigan Rocks or that night stage with the rain and water (forgot the name).

    i didnt like the time eater boss fight in generations,too confusing and frustrating,with odd pacing,the only "unfun" part of the game. i think sega rushed the design of that fight.

    Yeah, Time Eater was probably the worst final boss in the series. I thought Devil Doom was kinda bad design-wise, but that fight at least made sense gameplay-wise. Time Eater seems to get damaged whenever the game feels like it; nothing in that fight makes sense. I actually got every single trophy in that game except the one for beating Time Eater without getting hit once.
