Cruel Irony...

When Brawl released in 2008, I was adamantly against Solid Snake's inclusion on the roster, as he felt "out of place" and "wasn't related to Nintendo!" Fast forward to 2016 and I've played almost every Metal Gear game and have gone on to love the series and its characters... Eight years later and I really miss Snake in Smash. It's a shame he isn't in the newest games.

    It is quite a shame that he's not in the latest installment, he was one of my mains in Brawl. ^^ If it was the case of him being DLC or possibly being on the rumored NX port, I think I might change my Mii to the Solid Snake Mii I had back then as celebration. ;)

    I highly doubt konami would allow snake in smash with the way things r now. Such a shame as well. If konami and hideo kojima never had their falling out, snake could have been in smash 4 as dlc.

    Snake never bothered me as he's pretty much one of the biggest icons in gaming history and his console start was on the nes waaaaay back in the 80's. He was a prime candidate to me, and I'm unbelievably dissapointed that he'll probably never be in a Smash game again. s good as smash Wii u is I can't say it's better than brawl solely because snake is gone. Oh, and the fact it's gone all anime now.

    When Brawl came out I only played as Snake for the codecs and then never touched him again. Now I just got into the series recently as well and can finally appreciate his guest inclusion. What installment is your favorite? I really enjoyed 3.

    I haven't played them all yet, as I've been working through the series chronologically (I'm currently up to Sons of Liberty). I think Phantom Pain has by far the best gameplay, but nothing can top the story of Snake Eater.

    I did. I liked certain aspects of it, like Snake's further de-evolution into the villainous Big Boss. But certain aspects of it, namely the repetitive and short mission structure, as well as the absurdly long boss battles turned me off. Not to mention it kind of dragged towards the end, as it kept making you think you were up to the final mission.

    Also, the requirements to get the "true" ending were ridiculous and monotonous. It was still pretty fun for what it was though, and it's impressive that the developers squeezed as much content as they did on the PSP. And building up Mother Base was soooo fun and satisfying.

    Seems pretty ironic for me too, Solid Snake was a good character and I find me using him more than everbody besides Ice Climbers and Yoshi

    I still don't like Third-Party in Smash that much... Sonic's the exception, since Sega's basically only doing things for Nintendo at this point.
