  • Eruption In Radiant Dawn, the goddess Yune gives Ike this power to defeat the final boss. In Smash, if fully charged, it'll create a massive explosion that causes recoil. That's not all. It also has super armor and can spike at the tip at the end of it's hitbox. However, it's very weak and can't be used against aerial opponents.

  • Also, it should be noted that, in Brawl, the flames were fiery red. Why did they change the color? BECAUSE BLUE FIRE IS DANGEROUS!

  • And to match his title "The Radiant Hero" along with Ragnell being engulfed in blue flames at the end of Radiant Dawn by Yune's blessings to defeat Ashera.

  • Quick Draw This is one of Ike's critical hit animations in PoR. In Smash, you can charge it to travel very far horizontally. You can even get all the way to the other side of Final Destination.

  • Aether In PoR and Radiant Dawn, when Ike uses this skill, he throws his sword upward, jumps, catches it, and coming down with a spinning cut, followed by a second rising strike. In Smash, it's the same except for the second strike. It also has super armor and is capable of bring opponents down with you off-stage.

  • Counter This reflects back to (no pun intended) the Reflect Counter from Fire Emblem. Ike debuted in Smash around the time this technique was introduced. In Smash, this move deals 1.2x the damage it countered.

  • Great Aether This could be based off the final blow Ike performs on Radiant Dawn's final boss, Ashera, after Yune gives him the Blue Flames. In Smash, Ike gets his opponent(s) in the air and performs multiple slashes and they fall down w/ him for a massive explosion. I think Michael Bay might like this guy more than anyone.

  • Sword style Ike's rough sword swings are inherited by his father Griel, due to his unusual, but effective sword swings.

  • F-tilt Ike uses a similar attack to this w/ the Killing Edge in his games. In Smash, it has decent power and some good range.

  • And that has been the History Behind Ike. Stay tuned for the next episode, where we will spotlight the great tachtitian himself, Robin!
