Why

Are people mad about 6 fire emblem characters yet nothing against mario, Pokemon and Zelda!? Now don't get me wrong 5+ Characters is complete idiocy on its own right, But picking on fire emblem particularly is rather bad. The next thing i'll say will get much controversy of those reading but I believe fire Emblem is better than Mario, Zelda, And pokemon. Now I don't mean the Latter 3 are bad,

    it's just that there's little thought put in the gameplay. The last truly innovations in their franchises is Gen 4, Ocarina of Time, and Mario galaxy. Fire Emblem always changes some things to Mix up the game wheather it be features or difficulty. Awakening has not only saved Fire Emblem, but Broke the ground 6-Feet under in mechanics and sales for the franchise, Selling over 3,000,000 copies.

    Those features were a part of its success but what mainly saved it was the accessibility of the game. I mean a newcomer starting with Radiant Dawn or Binding Blade will most likely quit cause it's too difficult and most people to begin the franchise were thinking It was an overarching Epic Fight against evil just because of Marth, Ike, and Roy's inclusion in smash bros.

    Hyped Asf for fates. Wonder when EU and AU get it? Probably a few months later and I bet some of the players in EU would Purchase a U.S copy because Nintendo of Europe has to be elusive to its continent. Still, are you hyped for fates?

    Yeah Awakening is probably the easiest in the franchise, it's debatable between that and FE8. SSMB got me interested in the series to begin with.

    @Anon Lucina was originally going to be an alt costume for Marth. She was made a seperate character because it'd be easy and nicer to have more, that's all. So really we're lucky to have an extra character rather than her being an alt costume.

    @Anon But yea FE:Awakening totally did save the Fire Emblem franchise. Nintendo was going to quit making them if they didn't sell at least 250,000 copies. Luckily, they did! :D By the way, there's a patch for the Japanese copy of FE:Fates to make it in English, just so you know. It's rather nice.

    No. doctor mario,Dark Pit, and Lucina Were all originally gonna be alternative costumes for Pit, mario and Lucina, However sakurai didn't want to make the Melee fans mad by doctor mario being an alt costume, so he was made to be have a simalar moveset but slightly different properties to Differentiate mario and doctor mario. He also felt as if he did that, that'd be unfair to Dark Pit and Lucina

    @Raphael Oh I know, I was just stating the Lucina one since it was in context lol. But yea he did it for them as well, which is pretty cool. Really we just got an extra 3 characters, so that's nice. :D

    I mean FE Merch is even getting a card game (JP only as of now and no comfirmation of an international release. The cards are Mainly Awakening and Fates units. I'll be waiting for a Roy, and Ephraim Card to be made due to them being my favorite lords Roy cause Smash Bros. and his game was great and Ephraim cause outside of Hector He's the only lord who isn't a swordsman).
