I'm confused.

People say Cloud got in because he was highly requested and others say he got in to advertise FF7's remake. Who's telling the truth?

    Im thinking Nintendo watches youtube. Look up GamingAllStarsGmod then go to his video called SuperSmashBros2 remasterd then look around and find Cloud saving Chris Redfield. Altenivally, you can watch his other video called S4E2 Real Evil. It has Cloud as a Unrevivable trophy

    I personally have a theory: Cloud was the Ballot Winner in America, Bayonetta was the Ballot Winner in Europe, and Corrin was the Ballot Winner in Japan. Just think about it.

    I think it was stated that Sakurai and the rest of the smash team had development on Cloud from the beginning. It was surprising that no leaks was found on Cloud.

    Doesn't matter. Square Enix made the choice to remake it. Sakurai had no intension of asking them to make the game. If he did, people would have known already from the beginning.

    (@BANKAI !!!) If i remember, Cloud was development before the release of news about the FF7 remake so it was not to promote the game. If it was then Sakurai would have said so. Characters do take a while to make for the game anyway which was stated from Xander Mobus(in his announcer voice XD)
