question about melee

i heard something called melee physics and because of that i guess competitive players like it more on melee why is that i never played melee

    L canceling, perfect pivot, pivot, pivot grab, short/full hop, DI, Smash DI, etc. exist in Melee. Some are still possible, like perfect pivoting and short/full hop.

    Never played it as well but I know a few things. -It was faster -it had different ledge mecanics -it had higher gravity -there was an airdodge thad didn't make you invunerable so alot more combos were possible -everything killed earlier -there were glithes such as L-canceling that really helped and got "advanced techniques"

    Melee is a very fast game, as a result of wavedashing, L-cancelling, and just how the game played. The physics allow the game to be fast paced in comparison to sm4sh and Brawl. Watch some competetive Melee sometime.

    Melee has a different physics engine than other games. It allows the game to be played at a very fast pace. There's also wavedashing, double jump cancels, and other techniques exclusive to that game. Because of its engine and techniques, it's widely considered the best Super Smash Bros. game.

    Melee truly is a fast paced game...in other words i stink at melee. If you are into Melee give it a try just...stand clear of Melee Elitist -_- "Melee is better than any smash game ever" "In melee, always pick Fox" "Your biggest mistake is not playing Melee" "Melee›Sm4sh" Uuuuuugghhhhhhhhhhhh!!! -_-

    1. Melee was released in 2001 so you can see why it has no online 2. It's famous for Wavedashing, L canceling, DJC, Ceiling glitch, Dash Dancing, also, airdodging stopped you for a moment, unlike the modern airdodge, oh, also because of players like Mang0, M2K, Armada, Leffen or aMSa.
