Bayo pls.

Apparently, Bayonetta has 0-death combos on the whole smash roster. Depending on rage or not, even Brawl Meta Knight wasn't that crazy. I don't know who on the development team thought this was okay.

  • Specials: -Brawl Knight had specials that were extremely easy to land in relation to how strong there were. His most offending special was Shuttle Loop which he could stall out a match or use for a SD-KO set-up. -Bayonetta's Specials were geared specifically towards combos, but most of them aren't True Combos, which along with DI, the opponent could exit hitstun to escape via air dodge or Counter.

  • Play Style: -Brawl Knight could be played well in most styles and in virtually all skill levels, sans a Zoning-based approach. -Bayonetta is a best played with combos, rushing, pressure, and edgeguarding in mind. Her advanced mechanics make her effective in only the hands of a mid or high skill player.

  • Weaknesses: -Brawl Knight's only weakness is his light weight. -Bayonetta is also a lightweight. Her zoning is non-existent, at long ranges, her N Special could only hit large characters, and her Bullet Arts can only be applied as a combo extender. Also because of the rules of her Specials if her Air Combos are broken with a strong attack, her recovery will be hurt, if she doesn't accidentally SD.

  • Summary: -Meta Knight's move set and simplicity rendered a lot of Brawl's aspects trivial. -Bayonetta has to combo and wait for the opponent to make a mistake. She can't render many aspects of Smash trivial like Brawl Knight could. Her advanced mechanics, her requiring to be close to the enemy, and her learning curve simply wouldn't allow it. See what I'm saying?

  • Casuals don't matter in this case. I mean, just because Brawl Knight was broken doesn't mean anyone could use him and be good, skill is still a factor. Anyone could feel like they can use Bayonetta (on-stage) if they spam their specials (which wouldn't be good against players that know what is going on). You can defend Bayonetta, I don't care one way or another because I'm not saying she is

  • broken, but you can't say that she doesn't have broken things. I'm not going throw out a bunch of comments to argue because geezus you said a ton. It isn't really that serious. Watch GimR's video on Bayonetta. She may or may not be broken people, but I will not agree with anyone who says she is bad or isn't one of the best characters in the game.

  • In this game many characters have death combos if you're at ~40%. My favourite: META KNIGHT (And you can't DI out of it) Honestly, I think this is even more frightning

  • But Bayo has 0-death combos at like 0%. At least ZSS' combocan be escaped and/or DI'd, might also depend on rage. Meta Knight's new combo is also silly.

  • lol every character can 0-death little mac! Grab→throw offstage Pls nerf!!

  • That's not true. That depends on how the Mac recovers and if the player edge-guards properly.

  • *plops in face down* Converse with me, please... ...I've been having a bad day, I'm out of my game in Smash... ...I could probably fight a level 1 CPU and still lose.

  • Wanna have some friendlies in smash then? Non-serious matches and maybe items?

  • Maybe. Probably. Definitely. I kinda wish Final Destination wasn't the only stage, I even had thoughts on what constituted a legal competitive stage.

  • FD isn't the only legal stage.

  • Scratch that then, the only legal stage in FG.

  • Yeah. Battlefield in FG would have been nice, but that involves making versions of that for every stage.

  • We need to exchange the code of friends though so we can smash. But that is not simple on miiverse.

  • Yeah, my guidelines would have been simple. -No stage hazards capable of inflicting a KO. -No stage bosses. -Side scrolling stages are not allowed. -No stages that have features that allow a player to gain an advantage like power-ups. -No stages with slippery platforms. I have more, but it'd take a while. A lot of them are mostly common sense.
