Now that I think about it, Dunban is definitely the best party member in Xenoblade Chronicles. Seven, Riki, and arguably even Shulk because of his Monado Arts are more flexible role-wise than him, but the two things he does (all-out offensive and evasion tank) he does far better than those characters could hope to do with any of their roles.
