Moveset Maker #1 - Paper Mario (Paper Mario series)

Welcome to Moveset Maker, a series where I make custom movesets for characters that didn't make it in! In the premiere of the this series of mine, I'm going to remaster a moveset I made 2 years ago for Paper Mario!

  • Regular attack - three hammer hits from different angles (original) Side tilt - Hammer bash (reference: all) Down tilt - Fireball (reference: 64, TTYD) Up tilt - Hammer slash (original) Side Smash - Charged hammer bash (reference: 64, TTYD, SS) Up Smash - Hammer flip (SS, PJ) Down Smash - Hammer spin (TTYD)

  • Neutral special -Blue Shell: kicks a blue shell a few feet. Holding B will hold it in place. Releasing B will make it go flying to the edge of the stage. Spike if hit at the bottom. (64, TTYD) Side special -Bomb: Bombette (fast, low knockback) or Admiral Bobbery (slow, high knockback) are thrown, walk a little, charge up, and then explode. (64, TTYD) Down special -Bow hide: counter. (64, TTYD)

    Nice moveset! Although I think there might be a little too much hammer overall, I like what you did there. I was thinking of ways to get the partners involved, and you pretty much read my mind! Also, when you said blue shell, are you talking about Kooper (or possibly Koops?) I'm thinking that his Final Smash should involve the Star Spirits. Thoughts?

  • Final Smash - Star Beam and Supernova: The star spirits form a circle before PM, and form a beam from the top of the stage that deals rapid damage and tries to pull opponents in. This lasts for about 7 seconds. Just before the attack ends, PM pulls out the Crystal Star, which flies into the air before sending a slash through the beam, ending the attack. It's unavoidable for one foe in front of PM.

  • Grab: Thoreau. Ranged, but not a tether. Kertsi comes out if a successful grab. (Super) Pummel: Kertsi pokes foe with her head. (Original) Side throw: brought up to the head, and thrown in a direction. (Super) Down throw: Kertsi holds foe on the ground while PM turns into a coil and drills into them. (PJ) Up throw: Same as Mario's.
