Tips for getting better?
I want to get better at this game, but I have no idea where to start or how. If possible, can I get some tips for overall getting better, and training a main?

The Mario is just annoying and I consider it a form of spamming. I don't mind it if you do something else after the second up tilt however, such as an up-B. Learn to tech (pressing the shield button just before hitting a wall/ceiling/floor) to break your fall and not risk being attacked after hitting the floor/getting stage spiked.

As for a main, don't just choose a character because they're high tier. Choose a character that means something to you, such as they're from your favourite game, and learn them. You could also play every character until you find one that you like.

I use Mega Man and Cloud, and I'm learning Lucina and Shulk. I did previously use Wario for quite a while, I somwhat still do, but Cloud kinda replaced him. But he's still my main Mario Kart/Party choice.

Oh yeah, don't use the same moves or combos over and over again, it makes you predictable. Change up your tactics to throw opponents off.

I'd be willing to do a few a few matches with you if you wanted. Either way, hope this advice helps.

The best I can do for you there is just play the character, learn their strengths and weaknesses and over time you'll get used to them. Playing around in training mode will also help you find combos.

Did you want a few matches with me? I'm looking for opponents anyways. I could put to use some of the tips I've given you as a demonstration.

I think I'll just practice a little longer before going up against you, Z. Nero, I'm thinking I'll try Corrin, but other than that, I like Pac-Man. Any tips for them?

Let's see... Pac-Man is very reliant on spacing. I'd advise being careful with the Fire Hydrant, it can be just as easily used against you than your opponent. Corrin, I'd say be sparing with the neutral B projectile. Don't use it all the time, rely on other attacks too. Although, I'd still say practice trying to combo dash attack or gran off of it; the timing on it is decently strict.

um Corrin pretty good all around but his major thing is the lance for range and um pac-man most he seems more defensive with staying behind hydrant and spamming fruit or others not sure i don't use pac-man only Corrin

What about in terms of practicing against others? Be then cpus or other players. Any recommendations?

um cpu's first at a low difficulty then slowly raise the level and if u feel comfortable or had enough training then try online but be warned online glory mode they won't show mercy and most will spam or camp and insult u if they start doing that just back out and fight someone else but keep a clearhead and never give up now night till then.

CPU opponents are predictable and always do the same things, so I'd say just go online and fight people there for a variety of tactics. The more variety of tactics you face, the easier it will become to deal with them. Of course, then there's the fact it's For Glory so... yeah. As I said, I'm willing to offer you a few matches if you want.
