Wait, since the encounter rate for shiny Pokémon in Gen 6 is higher than it was in Gen 5, is it possible for non-shiny Pokémon in Gen 5 to be shiny in Gen 6 if they're traded forward like it was with Pokémon with the IVs to be shiny in Gen 1 when they were traded forward to Gen 2? Probably not, but I want to get the record set straight for me

    Sorta like how some azurill can change genders when evolving due to the different gender ratios between azurill and marill? That'd be cool.

    well that was fixed in Gen 6 I'm pretty sure, so by extension the answer to my initial question is probably not
