Miiverse's insane censorship

Holy moly, the things that are deemed offensive on here are so trivial. It seems the admins catch me everyday. Even when i'm joking, I still get caught. Has anyone else dealt with this stupidity?

  • I have never had any troubles with the admins. Just read the code of conduct and follow along. I'm not a power-user of Miiverse. It's not hard for me to behave myself and try to keep things G-rated.

  • I haven't really had any trouble myself. What's been getting reported? Stuff like?

  • I think "admins" are just bots with special coding to filter out word combinations.

  • @ 10k I agree. The bot don't know what everyone is talking about and it deletes your post for no good reason. The worse of them all is that it does not tell you which code of conduct you've violated and does not highlight which word or sentence that did it. If the "admins" gonna delete everyone's comment and give them warnings, at least tell me and the others which word or sentence did...

  • Someone's probably been stalking your profile constantly looking for posts that don't Violate the "C.O.C" and then he or she "false reports" you yeah buddy i have been there and like every morning i wake up hoping the admins didn't catch me so yeah eventually these false reporters will get what they deserve soon enough.

  • ...the violation so we can avoid the word in the future, which also makes no sense. Nintendo is not the only one that do this. YouTube and a couple of others do this as well. That's why people can abuse the service and purposely get people's accounts deleted when it comes to YouTube. Whatever happened of having human people looking at comments? Having a bot doing the job is a bad idea. That...

  • ...would lead to frustration and, eventually, anger of the fans. What they need to do is let the users use their own judgment and use the report function on someone that is actually violating the code of conduct. It's there for a reason. You hardly see anyone even use the function because the bot do the job for them for all the wrong reasons. That's why they shouldn't use a bot as an admin. It...

  • @Big boy With youtube, you have the power to moderate your own comment thread, which I think is cool. I believe links are what gets filtered. Also, videos are uploaded like every minute, plus, some videos get thousands of comments, so having a dedicated human(s) to moderate would be horrible.

  • The thing is that been reported isn't harmful in any way. For example, I put on my friends post to "get some friends" because he was looking for an opponent. I even had the winking face and put [Insert Sarcasm here], and it was still considered hateful and was taken down. Honestly, like some have said, they probably just have computers viewing the content. Still Annoying, though.

  • I just think it's a terrible system because even things that are really tame can be taken down if it can be perceived as bullying. I mean, i've seen very salicious pictures on Miiverse, but me sarcastically telling my friends to "get some friends" is inappropriate? Come on, now.
