  • Bayonetta wouldn't be able to change the Rating of the game anyway, even if she was more inappropriate than she actually is in smash. Why? "Online Interactions not rated by the ESRB" It is specifically stated on the game case that ESRB is not responsible for what people run into online. And DLC counts as the internet. If the entire Wii U or 3DS was disconnected from the internet, the kids using-

  • Smash Bros has not been for kids ever since Melee. The only game that they got the ESRB rating right on was the N64 game. If Snake and Brawl's realism are why it was rated T, then explain why Melee had that rating. Both games have an equal amount of MILD violence, and little to no suggestive themes/crude humor compared to the 3DS/Wii U, without DLC. It's a fighting game for MANY people.

  • Everyone INCLUDING KIDS. Kids are expected to be playing this game, and the content needs to be appropriate for ALL of its audience members. I never said I was offended by anything. I said the content is mature. That's all. Please stop misrepresenting people's arguments and making strawman arguments in response. That's not how intelligent people argue.

  • It's not about what offereds me or anyone else. It's a matter of whether the content and the rating match each other, and I don't think they do. Ratings exist so consumers can make informed decisions about products, and ratings become useless if a game with mature content is labelled as "appropriate for children" anyway. It's hard to argue with people who refuse to actually read what you say.

  • Online INTERACTIONS are not rated. That's referring to your interactions with other players online, which obviously can't be controlled or guaranteed to be appropriate, and therefore can't be rated. It has nothing to do with downloadable content, which is still game content and still needs to be rated (and IS rated, and has the wrong rating, in my opinion).

  • i was talking about m rated characters in general,in this case, snake and bayonetta. i just feel like people like to exaggerate, like saying snake is too violent when he isnt anymore than the others. and now they're saying bayo is too inappropriate and summons demons. but they have been toned down for smash,so whats the problem? its not like there is blood, gore, cussing, and nudity in smash.

  • Well, you do have a point when you say online interactions. So lets say that it doesn't count as online. In that case, Nintendo should be responsible for toning down Bayonetta enough to make it OK of 10 and up. If they didn't, the ESRB would most likely sue them, and Nintendo would somehow have to change the rating on more than 100,000 boxes out there. That hasn't happened yet, so I'm pretty sure-

  • Bayonetta is OK. And I don't really like her either, so I just don't buy her.
