    @Soda According to what source? She was never referred to as a princess in either Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2. And any other game she appears in doesn't say anything even remotely close to a royal character. All we know for a fact is that Rosalina is the mother of Lumas. She only gets called a princess because people want to believe Rosalina is one.

    Peach was her mother, And with peach as a princess, the tradition usually carries on to the rest of the family, I mean you see how she wears a dress and how she has a crown, and just the way she acts. Even people refer to her as 'Princess Rosalina'. AND YES, PEACH IS HER MOTHER.

    Even she says in both games: 'Im Rosalina, protecter of the cosmos", or something along those lines which 'Protecter' is probably key word to Queen, or Princess, or even Goddess. I just think it would be weird that both Peach and Daisy are princesses but Rosalina isnt

    What evidence points to Peach being Rosalina's mother? It's only a possibility, even Game Theory admits that. And if that was the case, who is Rosalina's father? Moreover, shouldn't Peach be a queen by that same logic? She is the monarch of the Mushroom Kingdom, "Queen Peach" would actually give "Princess Rosalina" a level of merit.

    Protector is synonymous with Guardian, not necessarily a royal character. And the crown? Quite simple. Her mother treats her like a princess. Like most mothers would call their daughters. True, originally Rosalina was going to be related to Peach, but that idea was dropped.
