Does anyone have tips on how to use FLUDD?

I get that it's supposed to push recovering enemies away, but I can never figure out the timing! Man, I miss Mario Tornado...

  • Try doing it at the edge of the stage when the opponent has used his or her recovery moves. I Don't wanna step off-topic but for Bayonetta you probably know this she has a recovery pattern.... recovery move→jump→recovery move so even Shulk can Up Special twice so anyways yeah i do suggest doing that F.L.U.U.D to the opponents at there lowest point and that's when you use it but time it right.

  • It's more effective on some opponents than others. It's not going to find much use against recoveries that are very vertical and snap the ledge on execution, but against characters like Captain Falcon, Ness, Ike and Cloud it can be immensely effective. I think this following video is appropriate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1UYuc_3Cs8 It's a bit old, but it's relevant nonetheless.

  • F.L.U.D.D is a good edgeguarding weapon, it takes really good practice, but once you master it, it's amazingly good. Use it mostly on the edge, even tho it is hard, try to hit people that are lower than the ledge. If someone is above the ledge, use the cape, it's an amazing edgeguarding weapon.
